Congressman Sam Johnson serves the 3rd Congressional District of Texas (which includes portions of Frisco and McKinney in the CoServ service territory). A decorated war hero and native Texan, Congressman Johnson ranks among the few members of Congress to fight in combat. During his 29-year career in the U.S. Air Force, Representative Johnson flew combat missions in both the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He endured nearly seven years as a Prisoner of War in Hanoi, including 42 months in solitary confinement. Holding a House leadership role as one of the few deputy whips, Johnson is a member of the House Committee on Ways and Means, where he serves as the Chairman of the Social Security Subcommittee and sits on the Health Subcommittee. U.S. Representative Mac Thornberry represents the 13th district, which includes communities in the northwest portion of CoServ’s service territory. Congressman Thornberry is a Texas Tech graduate whose background is in agriculture and law.

U.S. Representative Kenny Marchant serves the constituents of the 24th district, which covers portions of CoServ’s service area to the south and west. Congressman Marchant began his career as a small business owner and transitioned to public service in 1980 when he was elected to the Carrollton City Council.
He subsequently served as Mayor of Carrollton and as a State Representative on the Texas Legislature. U.S. Representative Michael Burgess represents the 26th district, which includes the majority of Denton County, Cooke County, and parts of suburban Dallas and Fort Worth. Doctor Burgess practiced medicine in North Texas for 30 years before being elected to Congress in 2002.

With a background in several judiciary positions, Senator John Cornyn was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2002, succeeding Senator Phil Gramm. In 2006, he was elected to the Republican Senate Leadership team as Vice Chairman of the Senate Republican Conference. He was re-elected in 2008.

Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison was elected to the U.S. Senate in a special election in 1993. She was elected to her first full term in November 1994, and has served as a U.S. Senator since that time.
