For more than seven decades, CoServ Electric has taken an active role in the North Texas communities we serve. In particular, we support and encourage the academic and community endeavors of our local students. The W. Tip Hall Jr. Scholarship Program is one way we recognize these future leaders.
W. Tip Hall Jr. was a longtime educator, preacher and legislator who served on the CoServ Electric Board of Directors for 10 years. Mr. Hall’s love for and commitment to education, and his work in developing the scholarship program for CoServ Electric, is why it bears his name. The program's purpose is to encourage and support eligible graduating high school seniors with an established CoServ connection as they pursue their education at an institute of higher learning in the state of Texas.
For 2016, the W. Tip Hall, Jr. Scholarship Program will distribute $20,000 in four $5,000 scholarships to students across North Texas. The application window for the 2016 scholarship program has closed. Winners will be announced in the next few months. Check back in the fall for information on the 2017 scholarship offerings.
