At investor-owned companies, annual meetings are exclusive occasions for shareholders only. But things are different at CoServ Electric.
As a not-for-profit cooperative, we’re owned by the people we serve – our members like you. So we gladly invite you to our annual meeting each June. Be our guest, and dine on delicious barbecue while hearing our CEO, Mike Dreyspring, talk about the state of your electric company.
You’ll experience much more than a speech though … Take a look at the top five reasons why you should attend the next annual meeting:
- Get your questions answered. Visit our information booth to ask specific questions about your bill or account.
- Learn the outcome of the board member election. Our service area is divided into seven districts. Every year, the board directors representing two of these districts are up for election. (Every third year, three board members are up for election.) You can vote via mail-in ballot (attached to your June issue of Texas Co-op Power magazine), then attend the annual meeting for the results.
- Find out how to save energy. Stop by our conservation booth for tips on reducing the amount of electricity you use. You’ll lower your utility bill and help protect the environment at the same time.
- Talk to CoServ’s CEO and the board. Don’t miss the chance to shake hands with your senior leaders and board representatives. Ask CEO Mike Dreyspring in person anything that’s on your mind. Or, you can submit your question beforehand. Either way, we’ll give you a straight answer.
- Enjoy being treated like royalty. This is no run-of-the-mill get-together. We make our annual meeting as special as possible for our members. If you enter the drawing, you have a shot at winning a truck, travel voucher or other door prizes.
