At investor-owned companies, annual meetings are exclusive occasions for shareholders only. But things are different at CoServ Electric. As a not-for-profit cooperative, we’re owned by the people we serve—our Members like you.
CoServ Electric's 2011 Annual Meeting was held Tuesday, June 21. Board of director election results for Districts 3, 4, and 6, were announced:
District 3:
Clyde Geer—1,707 votes
John Dell Antonia—562 votes
Alonzo Blalock—468 votes
District 4:
Jerry Cobb—1,459 votes
Rod Riordan—633 votes
Harvey Kitchens—515 votes
Richard Schnitker—180 votes
District 6:
Bill Ragsdale—2,555 votes
We look forward to another evening with our Members next year… Take a look at the top five reasons why you should attend your 2012 Annual Meeting (which will be held on June 19, 2012):
1. Get your questions answered. Visit our information booth to ask specific questions about your bill or account.
2. Explore energy conservation. Swing by the Energy Management Team's booth to book an audit to identify energy wasters in your home or business.
3. Learn the outcome of the board member election. Our service area is divided into seven districts. Every year, the board directors representing two of these districts are up for election. (Every third year, three board members are up for election.) You can vote via mail-in ballot (attached to your June issue of Texas Co-op Power magazine), then attend the Annual Meeting for the results. In 2012, board of directors for Districts 1 and 5 are up for election.
