
Rural Friends/ACRE—Rural Friends/ACRE, the Action Committee for Rural Electrification, defends electric cooperative members and employees every day. Supported through CoServ employee contributions, this nonpartisan political action committee represents interests of electric co-ops and their members and employees.

Texas Electric Cooperatives (TEC)—Texas Electric Cooperatives (TEC) is a statewide organization dedicated to representing the interests of cooperative electric utilities in Texas and the member-consumers they serve. Established in 1941 and based in Austin, TEC today represents 65 electric distribution cooperatives, including CoServ Electric, and the state's 9 generation and transmission cooperatives. The association is headquartered in Austin, close to the legislative action that has and will always have a significant impact on electric cooperatives.

National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA)—The National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA) is the national service organization dedicated to representing the national interests of cooperative electric utilities and the consumers they serve. The NRECA Board of Directors oversees the association’s activities and consists of 47 members, one from each state in which there is an electric distribution cooperative.
The association provides national leadership and member assistance through legislative representation before the U.S. Congress and the Executive Branch; representation in legal and regulatory proceedings affecting electric service and the environment; communication; education and consulting for cooperative directors, managers and employees; energy, environmental, and information research and technology; training and conferences; and insurance, employee benefits and financial services.

NRECA International Foundation—The NRECA International Foundation partners with U.S. electric cooperatives and others to electrify rural villages and foster economic development, improving the lives of people in developing countries. The Foundation was created in 1985 and has provided millions of dollars in funding, donated equipment, and volunteer personnel to electrify villages and share lessons from the U.S. electric cooperative experience with electric cooperatives in developing countries.
