Attend an EXPO

The advanced metering component of the CoServ eCoGrid is being deployed in select areas of Frisco, Little Elm, and Prosper. Prior to and during Proof of Concept deployment, we hosted four CoServ eCoGrid EXPOs (details below) so that we could visit with members and demonstrate what the CoServ eCoGrid is all about.

While we anticipate hosting additional EXPO events prior to full system deployment, no events are currently scheduled.  Please be sure to check back with us for more details on upcoming EXPO events!

The CoServ eCoGrid is a distribution technology initiative with a two-way communications network, advanced metering, distribution automation and personal energy management applications.

The CoServ eCoGrid was initially deployed as a 20,000 meter “proof of concept” (POC), prior to its ultimate expansion to the entire CoServ service area.

EXPO events are designed for members to learn about system benefits, the meter change-out process, meter testing, and more.

Short- and long-range CoServ eCoGrid benefits:

  • Automated electronic meter reads
  • Reduced vehicle usage
  • Enhanced outage detection and response
  • Improved system reliability
  • Reduced electricity theft
  • Tools to manage energy usage
