CCN Process

CoServ’s generation and transmission provider, Brazos Electric Cooperative, is required to follow the process established by the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUC) for proposing new transmission projects through an application process to amend a Certificate of Convenience and Necessity (CCN).

The CCN application process outlines specific attributes of the line, proposes potential routes and substation locations, describes the need for the line and identifies potential impacts on the surrounding community and environment. Follow the diagram to understand how this process works.
