FC Dallas surprised CoServ’s front-line Employees with gift cards to Rosa’s Cafe this week to show appreciation for the work they’re doing during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The gift cards were mailed to all Operations Employees, including CoServ Electric linemen, CoServ Gas technicians and construction crews. It’s part of FC Dallas’ “Taking Care of Those Who Take Care of the Community” initiative that’s been going on for several weeks.

“In partnership with Toyota, FC Dallas is proud to support CoServ’s front-line workers as they continue their work in the field during the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Megan Miller, Vice President of Partnership Marketing for FC Dallas. “It is truly rewarding to be able to support our partner CoServ and their Employees during this time.  Thank you Toyota and CoServ for your efforts and support!”

CoServ’s Operations Team provides a national critical function as defined by the Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency, so they have to continue reporting to work despite the stay-at-home orders.

Shea Hassell, CoServ’s Director of Operations, said it’s an honor to be recognized alongside firefighters, police officers and doctors and nurses who are on the front lines treating people with COVID-19. He thanked FC Dallas for thinking of CoServ Employees and for the gift cards - and just in time for Taco Tuesday and one day after National Lineman Appreciation Day, which is recognized officially on April 13 and is being celebrated this week on CoServ's Facebook channel

“Our linemen and gas techs are hard at work and committed to keeping the lights and heat on and allowing us all to enjoy a higher quality of life,” Shea said.

CoServ and FC Dallas have partnered on several youth-sports and education initiatives since 2017, including mini-pitches, student scholarships and teacher recognitions.
