What to expect on your April bill
Temperatures remained relatively mild for most of March in North Texas, giving CoServ Members’ air conditioners and heaters a reprieve.
That means electricity usage should be lower than it was in February, when North Texas experienced a pair of winter storms. Heater usage was down 44 percent from the previous month, which, if you have an electric heater, means your electric usage will be lower. There were only three nights where temperatures dipped below freezing.
Air condition use was also minimal with an average high temperature of 71.9 degrees and only three days at 80 degrees or above. Overall, air condition use declined 8 percent compared to the same month last year.
North Texas also received 2 inches of rain but was still three-quarters of an inch below normal.
