Emergency calls are answered 24\/7.<\/p>\n<h2>\n\t\t\tTips for Home Improvement Projects\t<\/h2>\n\t<p><strong>Call 811<\/strong> before any digging project as required by state law. They will schedule a utility location company to mark underground lines at no cost to you.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Call 48 hours<\/strong>\u00a0(two business days) before you start your project. They&#8217;ll be happy to help!<\/p>\n<h2>\n\t\t\tRecognizing A Gas Leak\t<\/h2>\n\t<p><strong>Look<\/strong>: Persistent bubbling in standing water or discolored vegetation are signs of a possible leak.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Listen<\/strong>: Note any unusual noise like a hissing or roaring sound (Please note: During the winter months, you may notice hissing noises coming from your gas meter. This is the normal sound of natural gas flowing through the meter to power appliances. If you smell gas, contact CoServ Gas immediately).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Smell<\/strong>: Natural gas is odorless in its original state. An additive that smells like rotten eggs is injected into the gas supply to help Customers smell and identify the release of natural gas.<\/p>\n<h2>\n\t\t\tIf a Gas Leak Occurs\t<\/h2>\n\t<p><strong>Go to a safe area and <a href=\"tel:911\">call 911<\/a> and CoServ Gas at <a href=\"tel:1-844-330-0763\">844-330-0763<\/a><\/strong>. CoServ Gas will immediately dispatch trained personnel and provide information to public safety officials to aid in their response.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Do NOT<\/strong>\u00a0touch, breathe, or make contact with leaking gas. Stay upwind.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Do NOT<\/strong>\u00a0light a match, start an engine, use a telephone, operate light switches, or do anything that may create a spark.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Do NOT<\/strong>\u00a0attempt to extinguish any pipeline fire that may start.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Do NOT<\/strong>\u00a0drive into a leak or vapor cloud area.
