As we close out another successful year at CoServ, we want to highlight how our Members and Customers are a part of something bigger.

The CoServ Advantage isn’t just about safety and reliability; it’s about investing in community, small-town beginnings, and prioritizing our Members and Customers. As we recap the year, we hope you remember your Membership at CoServ means more.

We Put You First

CoServ’s Mission is to provide safe and reliable power. But more than that, we’re driven by serving our Members and Customers. Whether it’s chatting with them at our Appreciation events like Sanger Sellabration, or quickly restoring power after a big storm, CoServ always prioritizes its Members.

Cooperatives are built on small-town roots, concern for community, and the belief that we are stronger together. The CoServ Advantage emphasizes these values.

CoServ is committed to making a meaningful difference, serving its Members and Customers while directly investing in local communities through the CoServ Charitable Foundation (CCF).

The co-op’s support goes beyond monetary donations: through CCF, CoServ Employees also volunteer at many local nonprofits, playing a vital role in building resilient communities.

Clear Pricing, No Gimmicks

For those who have to shop around for an electricity provider, the task can be quite challenging because other retail electric providers are only focused on making a profit. Thankfully, CoServ Members never have to worry about this. And they have the added advantage of lower rates. A 2024 analysis of CoServ Electric rates compared to the for-profit retail electric providers (REPs) found CoServ Members paid an average of $44 less per month than customers in the deregulated parts of Texas.

REPs hook consumers by offering free electricity, but it comes with a catch, making a profit for shareholders. That’s not how CoServ operates. The co-op has no shareholders, just Members. Any margins (profits) are allocated back to Members in the form of Capital Credits.

Your Community, Our Home

The well-being of CoServ’s communities is at the heart of the CoServ Advantage. Employees are committed to giving back and positively impacting the lives of those around them.

CoServ has been a part of so many amazing projects throughout our service area - from ramp building to stocking a food pantry or donating blood. These are just a few ways the co-op is dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of those around them.

Delivering Reliable, Affordable Power

Electric cooperatives have long been set apart from typical utility companies; CoServ is no different. Members are at the core of every decision. One example of this came just two years ago when CoServ took 100% control of its power purchasing, resulting in less risk for the co-op and lower electric costs for Members.

With the co-op recently reaching a milestone of 500,000 combined electric and gas meters, prioritizing reliability and investing in the future growth of North Texas has never been more important.
