Have a Tesla Powerwall?

CoServ’s Peak Time Perks Tesla Battery Program could earn you monthly bill credits totaling $360 per year, per eligible battery!

How do I start?

To enroll, open your Tesla app and select the Virtual Power Plant option. Once enrolled, you will receive a $30 bill credit every month that you participate, and get up to $360 per year, per eligible battery.

Will I notice anything different?

Your Tesla Powerwall will continue to operate normally until CoServ calls an event. During those events, your system will use a portion of its stored energy to power your home, shifting the load off the grid to your battery. Your Powerwall will keep a 20% charge in reserve in case it’s needed for backup power purposes.

How long are the events, and how many will there be?

Each event will last no longer than 2 hours and will be limited to 125 per year.

How do my batteries make a difference?

When CoServ calls a PeakTime Perk event, your Powerwall is combined with others in the service area to create a “Virtual Power Plant.” By strategically managing this Virtual Power Plant, CoServ can reduce our wholesale power purchases when prices are highest. That reduces our cost to purchase power and, long-term, reduces our transmission costs. In return, Members who participate earn bill credits of $30 per month!

How big is CoServ’s Virtual Power Plant?

  • Members Enrolled: 280*
  • Powerwalls in the program: 516
  • Capacity: Up to 3.7 megawatts per event
