2026 Notice: Gas Interim Rate Adjustment Filing

2026 Documents

What's changing & Why

CoServ Gas filed a request for an Interim Rate Adjustment to increase the customer charge used to calculate the customer’s monthly bill with the Railroad Commission of Texas on August 17, 2026.

The increase can be attributed to the increased overall capital investment since the last rate filing in July of 2025. We have continued to see inflationary pressure on capital infrastructure investment costs, including materials and labor.

However, our rates – and your bill – will still be lower than with many other natural gas providers in North Texas, including Atmos Energy.

Interim Gas Adjustment FAQ

How are gas customers notified of the Interim Gas Adjustment?

Official notice of the filing will be included as an insert with billing statements generated in September 2026. Customers with gas service will also see a bill message directing them to review the notice. The notice will be available online at CoServ.com/GasRates.

Pending approval, an additional bill message will be included with billing statements generated in January 2027.

Why is the effective date on the official notice different than the actual effective date?

The Railroad Commission of Texas has specific noticing requirements, including the effective date on the official notice. The date on the notice is the earliest the rate could take effect; however, CoServ Gas is deferring the effective date to January 1, 2027.
