What's Changing & Why
CoServ Gas has filed an application to reduce its previously approved 2025 Interim Rate Adjustment effective January 1, 2026, with the Railroad Commission of Texas. The application reflects a reduction to the Interim Rate Adjustment charge, which appears as a fixed monthly charge on customers’ bills. Residential customers will see a decrease of $1.14/month, and non-residential customers will see a decrease of $1.91/month. Your total bill may vary depending on usage and other charges.

Additionally, on July bills, a one-time refund credit will be applied to then active accounts for the amount charged in excess of the reduced IRA rates, plus interest at the 4.34% rate for calendar year 2026 adopted by the Public Utility Commission of Texas.

What is this notice about?
This notice informs customers that CoServ Gas has filed an update to its Interim Rate Adjustment with the Railroad Commission of Texas. Customer notice of any update to a previous filing is required.
Is my gas bill going up or down?
This change only affects the Interim Rate Adjustment charge, which is a fixed monthly charge. Residential customers will see a decrease of $1.14/month, and non-residential customers will see a decrease of $1.91/month. Your total bill may vary depending on usage and other charges.
When will this change take effect?
The proposed change is expected to take effect on July 1, 2026.
Will I receive a credit on my bill?
Yes. Eligible active customers will receive a one-time credit on their July bill. This credit is based only on the Interim Rate Adjustment portion of the bill.
How is the credit calculated?
The credit equals six months of the reduction in the Interim Rate Adjustment plus interest.
Who qualifies for the credit?
All active Customers in the CoServ Gas Service area at the time of July billing will receive the credit.
How will I see this on my bill?
You will see the reduced Interim Rate Adjustment and a one-time credit in the current charge section on your July bill. Your total bill may still vary based on usage.
