We are so grateful for the teachers and administrators who work hard every day to educate the children in our community. CoServ is a strong supporter of education at all the school districts in our service territory. We show in a number of ways, including the Adopt-A-School program and by awarding grants to the Education Foundations.
The CoServ Adopt-A-School program is designed to encourage and inspire educators and students at elementary schools within our service territory. Schools are evaluated by a committee every year to determine eligibility.
Our goal is to foster a deeper connection between CoServ and our community stakeholders through involvement in our schools. By collaborating with each “adopted” school, we work together to determine how to best meet their individual needs.
In the past, Adopt-A-School has supported teachers and students by:
- Expanding a robotics program with new robot kits and curriculum materials
- Providing headsets and microphones for classroom learning labs
- Building sand pits, gaga ball courts and herb/vegetable gardens for outdoor learning areas
- Remodeling a teachers’ lounge with functional furniture, eating spaces and corresponding snacks

Teachers often have creative ideas for new curriculum, programs or technology that will educate and inspire their students. But it's not always in the school budget.
That's why education foundations are so important!
CoServ is proud to partner with 24 education foundations throughout our service territory. Each year, CoServ distributes approximately $280,000 to education foundations that help fund grants that purchase classroom supplies, innovative curriculum programs and continuing education efforts available to each district’s applicant pool.
