PeakTime Perks: Base Battery Program

CoServ Members now have a smarter way to stay powered during outages—without the cost, noise, or hassle of a traditional generator. Through this Member‑only program, qualifying homes can receive a whole‑home battery backup system from Base Power that automatically turns on in the event of an outage.

To celebrate the launch, Base is offering a limited-time founding promotion offering 50% off upfront installation and eliminating monthly fees, making reliable backup power more accessible than ever.

Program Details

  • 40 kWh whole-home battery system — can provide up to 36 hours of backup power with reduced energy consumption.
  • Homeowners are only responsible for the energy their home uses — CoServ will cover the energy used by the battery with a monthly credit.
  • Lifetime maintenance covered — Base monitors and maintains the battery at no cost*.
  • No fuel, no fumes, no noise — avoids needing gas lines, generator refueling, and engine upkeep.
  • Solar not required, but supported — compatible with solar systems, but never required.
  • Grid Resilience Support — supports the grid during peak demand and helps lower future energy costs.

*This offer is valid for those who enroll as a founding-member. Once that promotion ends, all new enrollments will have an installation cost of $695 and a monthly cost of $19 a month.

Did you know?

Extreme heat can create an “energy rush hour,” when demand is high and supply is tight, driving up wholesale electricity prices. Those costs are ultimately reflected in future electric bills for all Members.

By working together to reduce energy use during peak times, we can help lower these costs through programs like PeakTime Perks: Base Battery Program.

Important Information for Members with Solar

Members with rooftop solar should be aware that signing up for the Base Power Program will require a rate change. Those currently on the Distributed Generation (DG) with Buyback will be switched to DG with Reliability Plus, which will affect how solar energy is credited. We recommend reviewing your current rate and solar goals before enrolling.

If you’re unsure which solar rate you’re on, or want help understanding how a rate change could affect you? Contact Customer Care to review your options and help determine what’s best for your home.
