Residential Rates
With CoServ's electric rates, what you see is what you get. Everything is open and transparent. Our plans never lure you in with lower introductory rates that will expire and jump up to higher rates. There's no shopping around, either. In fact, CoServ Customer Care Specialists are equipped with software that analyzes your electricity usage to find a rate that works best for your life.
All of CoServ's residential electric rates include energy charges and wires (transmission and distribution) charges.
All of these rate plans can be combined with one or more of our Billing Programs to simplify your life.
Perfect for everyone. This is why the standard residential rate is offered to all CoServ Members—without gimmicks, hidden fees or expiration dates.
Customers are automatically enrolled in this rate, but there are several others to choose from. Our Standard Residential Rate is consistently less than most 12-month fixed prices that REPs offer.
Rate*
11.51¢
per kWh
Applicable for domestic uses associated with the operation of a single-family or multi-family residential installation. Residential rates are based on the actual cost per kilowatt-hour (kWh) and actual electricity used. By default, you will be signed up under this rate unless you chose otherwise when you begin service with CoServ.
When energy usage stretches between our Summer and Winter rates, usage is divided by the number of total days in the billing cycle then calculated based upon the number of days in each seasonal rate. However, the current PCRF is applied to all energy usage.

DG Rate Definitions (Del & Rec):
Del: When your house uses more energy than your solar system produces, energy from the grid combines with solar to supply your house, and the meter flows forward. This is the energy delivered to your home, and you are billed for this energy at the applicable retail rate.
Rec:When your solar panels are producing more than your house’s consumption, the excess solar energy not needed by your house flows onto the grid, and the meter flows backward. This is the energy received by CoServ. This amount will not match the output registered on your solar inverter; it represents only the excess solar production that is not needed by your house. You are provided a received energy payment at CoServ's avoided wholesale cost.
For details, see Section 202.15 of the Tariff. To sign up, email [email protected]. If your system was installed prior to February 1, 2023, and you would like to enroll in the Distributed Generation (DG) Rate with Buyback, please email [email protected] with your request. However, you are not permitted to switch back to the DG Rate with Net Metering after making this request.

Closed Rate Plans
Solar Rate [Closed]
As of March 1, 2021, this rate plan is closed for new enrollment. If you are interested in renewable energy, please see our new Solar Savings Rate.
Customers may choose one of the following blocks of solar energy to offset their monthly electricity consumption during a billing period.
Customer Charge
$30.00 per meter
The $30 customer charge recovers fixed costs to serve each meter regardless of energy usage. Included in these fixed costs are an allocation of single-phase distribution line infrastructure, the cost of a base transformer and service and billing, meter reading and other related costs associated with the provision of electric service. Paying these fixed costs in the $30 customer charge results in these costs being removed from the kWh charge which decreases the kWh rate for usage.

Additional Information
Net-Metering Definitions (Del, Rec, Net):
Del: When your house is using more energy than your solar system is producing, energy from the grid combines with solar to supply your house, and the meter flows forward. This is the energy delivered to your home. The SCRF will be charged on all delivered (Del) kWh.
Rec: When your solar panels are producing more than your house’s consumption, the excess solar energy not needed by your house flows onto the grid, and the meter flows backward. This is the energy received by CoServ. This amount will not match the output registered on your solar inverter; it represents only the excess solar production that is not needed by your house.
Net: This is the net total of energy that moved forward (DEL) and the energy that moved backward (Rec) on the meter. You are billed on this amount. CoServ’s current net-metering policy gives you full retail credit on all energy produced providing that your solar panels did not produce more energy than your house consumed at the end of the billing cycle. The PCRF will be charged on all Net kWh.
For more details, view Section 202.15 of the Tariff.
Note for Solar (DG) Net Metering Members: Senate Bill 1580 states that all Members in a cooperative service are required to pay the securitization charges on all kWh delivered to their meter. If the SCRF were charged only on the Net, Members with rooftop solar would avoid paying some of the charges. For more details, see Section 203.2 section G of the Tariff.
If your system was installed prior to February 1st, 2023, you are grandfathered into our net metering policy until February 1st, 2028. You have the option to move to our buyback policy before February 1st, 2028, however, you are not permitted to switch back to the net metering policy after making this request.
