CORINTH, Texas – January 13, 2021 – A booming North Texas housing market and increased development have resulted in a meter milestone for CoServ: 400,000 total electric and natural gas meters served.

CoServ added 23,484 meters in 2020 – 16,041 electric and 7,443 natural gas. The electric number is a 6.47 percent increase from 2019 and establishes a CoServ record for most meters set in one year. The gas number represents a 5.7 percent increase from the previous year.

“We are committed to providing CoServ Members and Customers with reliable service,” said CoServ President/CEO Donnie Clary. “The fact that we experienced this record growth year in such challenging times is a testament to the dedication and skill of CoServ Employees.”

Keeping up with the rapid residential and commercial growth requires constant coordination and planning between CoServ’s Construction Management and Engineering teams and a small army of contractors who install and build the infrastructure needed to serve new developments.
